Let's Rap About It: Western Developed Games vs Eastern Developed Games

So, I've been asked time and time again why I put so much focus on eastern game development in comparison to western developers. People seem to think that I'm biased towards japanese development because I'm one of "those" (their words, not mine) people, a japanophile. I can tell you that is definitely not the case, so I sat down and decided to write a bit about it to point out my view on these things, and perhaps we could discuss it, as it's a very interesting topic if you ask me.

You see, boys and girls. WAYYYYYY back in that time in the last millennium (creepy, when you think about it) that we call the mid 80's and very early 90's, we didn't really HAVE western console developers. Let's start from the NES era.
